So SXSW came and went. And to be honest, I'm glad I can stay home for a bit. But this year was definitely the best; the parties were longer and the music was EVERYWHERE. It was glorious and I rightfully got physically sick by the weekend.
It was totally worth it.
Highlights:
Meeting Adam Stephens from Two Gallants.

I was already a little buzzed and saw them earlier that day, so I was inspired to just walk up to them and tell them how great they are. I ended the conversation, "Ok, thanks. Bye."

What a dork.
But it was definitely awesome meeting/seeing them.
Here they are at Beauty Bar.

And of course seeing the Black Keys live was all that I knew it would be. Short, but wonderful. I can't wait to get their new album (Attack & Release is out April 1st and it produced by Danger Mouse....so go get it, seriously).
Of course my camera was dead by then, so I had to borrow Jill's. I'll get video/pics soon.
But the best thing about it all was that I didn't spend any kind of money on shows.
But I did miss M. Ward and City and Colour.
Next year.
More videos to come because
I think my mac hates me right now.
