I've decided to reconnect with a few of my old friends from high school. It might seem like a bad idea to some, but these kind of reconnections reassure you, making you believe that you made some sort of bright decisions along the way. They're definitely not the ones that you DON'T want to remember; those-too-good-for-outside-thinking-kind-of-peers who pushed you away because you challenged yourself. But my wonderful friends, the filling kind, were the ones who introduced me to myself more and allowed the good memories to fill my head, which got me through college and the fearing adult world. So most of my nights have consisted of finding the obscure bars that the tourists don't occupy and drinking gorgeous amounts of beer at ridiculous prices ($5 for a pitcher of Lonestar makes classiness look so unappealing).
But I did also manage to catch the Nas/Talib Kweli show at Emo's a few weeks back. It was amazing to hear a few Blackstar tracks live and having a supportive crowd like the one that night, was definitely an addition to the overall live show experience.

I also attended the Art Attack event at the do512.com compound. So many major points for the people over at do512 for putting on another spectacular event. Between the live art, the great music (saw Brazos for the first time, which was cool considering how much I've been hearing about them) and all the free beer/wine one could handle, I had an amazing time.

Then followed many other nights at Elephant Room, a missed movie at The Ritz (so many tourists, filling up the seats that are rightfully already taken) and so much more. I even headed north for a beer last night.
Pictures to come.
Pleasures for all.
