I love the fall. It's probably my favorite time of the year. So you can imagine how amazing it's been for me since fall decided to arrive earlier than usual this year.
(I just had to put socks on and get under my comforter.)
With that said, it's also hard for me to believe that summer is over. Summer in Austin is like a Disneyland for adults. Between the festivals/shows, art openings, pre-post-rsvp only parties and so much more, there's always something to do and warm nights to keep you going until 5 am.
But now that will change to festivals/shows, art openings, pre-post-rsvp only parties and more with tons of people crammed into rooms, leaving the cold night's balconies and porches to dedicated smokers (with heaters, if you're lucky).
But thanks to my wonderful and generous friends, I was able to take part in many different and glorious (from what I can remember) nights.
I've been moving all week and I've finally found a place to call my own. It's been tiring, but well worth it. But I'm too exhausted to write.
But...
ACL was awesome last weekend. Probably one of the best, considering the company I was in. Hanging out with four other sarcastic and goofy women can make anything possible. Our limits were boundless and our drinks came in 24 ounces. You throw in The Black Keys and Iron and Wine, and you have a perfect weekend (in my opinion).
Pictures/videos to come.
And I scored a ticket to the upcoming Spoon/Gary Clark Jr. show coming up. Lucky me. I heard it sold out in less than an hour, or something ridiculous like that.
Now that I have my own space, you bet I'll be posting more blogs.
